Engr. Nura Khalil: Our Divine Legend

Firstly, I was not lavish with my praise because of any personal relationship with Engr. Nura Khalil. I was frankly taken aback by all this because I didn’t think describing him as “divine legend” was of any consequence. I know many people (particularly youth of 21st century) reading this piece would ask “Nura who? Who is that? I am ready to ponder over these questions and alike with a little I know about this legitimate politician in Katsina State’s political arena.

So much has been said about this man in Katsina State’s political history that I don’t even know where to start. Well, Engr. Muhammad Nura Khalil, also known as “inuwa baki kyamar kowa” is a big deal in Katsina State (and Nigeria at large if I may say). He is a divine legend and a unique politician.

His uniqueness started from his birth; which was noble, his life; which was distinguished from other politicians we have; which was full of honor, kindness and a charitable behavior. He is in a higher class of revered political leaders in the history of Katsina State, whom we owed much.

Nura Khalil is deeply religious person who constantly had in mind the hereafter. It has been confirmed even from his critics that he encouraged a lot of people to be good Muslims, to believe in destiny; good or otherwise. But most importantly, he lives the life of true Muslim; he would never joke with his five daily prayers at right time and in congregation. No matter how the political drum roared, he never lose focus for his purpose.

Politically, as aforesaid, a lot has been written and said about this man and his politics as well. Engr. Nura Khalil was such a great politician whose platform resonated in all the nooks and crannies of Katsina State ever since. As a leader by example and a true believer, which he was all true his life, he accepted with equanimity the decision of INEC for the recent elections and forged ahead with an abiding faith in Allah.

Engr. Nura Khalil is a compass and encyclopedia in the political atmosphere as many political commentators said. He taught Katsinawa about true democracy; way forward, history of great leaders and their footprints. Engr. Nura Khalil is unique in politics, he is not sectional in his politics and affairs; in fact, his mind was pure and perfect.

Engr. Nura Khalil is a good listener. Whenever he injected your ideas with real life experiences, delivered with excellent choices of words, you could not but bow to thank him. His grammar and use of words are unique as he is, and we constantly learn from him till today. Engr. Nura Khalil is a mentor, role model, father, friend, politician, instructor, hero, benefactor and indeed a recurring decimal in lives of those of us who knew him and our unborn children. In my heart of hearts, I believed any proponent of good governance will join the league of Engr. Nura Khalil come 2019 and beyond to witness a true democracy.

If the people of Karaduwa or even Katsinawa were looking for a way-out for our un-nurtured democracy, the meeting point is Engr. Nura Khalil’s political ideologies, I am optimist it will lead us to a target destination, “true democracy”. Whatever it is, Karaduwa has no option but to address the challenges of poor democracy and political blunder by learning Engr. Nura Khalil: Our Divine Legend

2019: 40 POLITICAL GROUPS ENDORSE ENGINEER KHALIL FOR KATSINA GOVERNOR

             New Nigerian Newspapers of  feb-9-2018 By; FUNMI OROYE ADERINTO, Kaduna A philanthropist, Engineer Nura Khalil  has been endorsed by over 40 political  groups to contest for Katsina State Governor in the 2019 general elections. According to a communiqué made available to New Nigerian in Kaduna,  they expressed their support for him after a  meeting held in  Katsina State. The groups urged the candidate of their choice to go for the number one position in the state due to the popularity and support he would receive from the various groups, so he can deliver dividends of democracy through the provision of infrastructure in the state.
