Your senatorial ambition not acceptable – Group Tells Sen.Abu Ibrahim.
- A Funtua group said Senator Abu Ibrahim is not
capable of representing Funtua Central at the Senate any longer
- The group argued
that it will reject any move by the party if they mistakenly present him again
come 2019 as that will further deny the people karadua have its own equal share
of representation. The Funtua political vanguards Initiative and Funtua
Mandate Promoters (FMP) has showed their full support to the current Governor
Alh. Aminu Bello Masari.
The
group argued that the senatorial ambition of Sen. Abu Ibrahim is unacceptable
and capable of denying the Funtua Central the well-deserved senatorial representation.
The
statement said the people of Karadua had patiently waited long enough for
things to change but rather things became worst. They alleged that upon all the
amount of money received as constituency allowance from Sen. Abu Ibrahim, yet no
any recorded achievements in terms of jobs opportunities and youth empowerment. We have seen how other NASS members attract federal interventions
to their constituencies but such gestures are not extended to us here. That
alone is pointer that we lack good representation the group added. While
criticizing what it called the completely unwarranted notion being created out
there that the only person the Funtua people have to offer for the post is Sen.
Abu Ibrahim. “Nothing could be further from the truth than this blatant lie
that if it is not Abu Ibrahim, then it must be Abu Ibrahim as if there
are no other Funtua indigene qualified to represent us Senator. “Even though,
contrary to the impression being created on social media, we have nothing personal
against the gentleman and in fact we appreciate him as an indigene of
katsina.
But
we find it to be completely insulting for any rascal member of the political
class to keep peddling the erroneous notion that it is only Abu Ibrahim as if
it is his birthright to the exclusion of all other Funtua indigenes when there
are many grounds or facts upon which to fault the suitability of Abu
Ibrahim for the post he is currently seeking.
“We
simply do not consider Sen. Abu Ibrahim to be a fit and proper person because
for all the years he spent in the NASS he has performed below expectations. In
the coming dispensation, only a presentable man with high moral fibre,
without excess political baggage would be marketable to the electorate and that
person is Engr. Mohammed Nura
Khalil,"
the group said. They urged Funtua people to consider the fact that Engr. Mohammed
Nura Khalil Is not only qualified for the post of distinguished senator of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria but can also be relied upon not to bring Funtua
into disrepute or embarrassment on the floor of the hallowed chambers of the
upper house of the National Assembly,”
